I first met with J+J at the beginning of October 2015 and instantly wanted to work with them! The bride had a beautiful and romantic vision and they had such great personalities. The couple decided to book our Partial Planning Package, so they could select 6-10 items they wanted help with; those items were: ceremony décor, reception décor, stationery, dessert table design, transportation, and hair & makeup styling.
Now J+J are officially husband and wife! It was such a joy to work with this couple and see their dream day come to life after several months of planning. You can feel the joy and love radiate from the stunning photos by Janelle Elise Photography that I could hardly narrow it down, but I tried my best! Take a look below at some of my favorite moments from their special day.
Before They Said "I Do"...
The ladies started their day at Steller Hair Co. in the NE Minneapolis art district. This was the perfect 7 chair salon for the intimate private party feel that the bride wanted to have with her girls. WarPaint International Beauty Agency did the bride's flawless makeup at the salon as well. After getting ready the ladies met the gentlemen at the beautiful Nazareth Chapel on the campus of the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN where the ceremony was held. Let's just say everyone laughed, they cried, and it was one of my favorite ceremonies of all time :)
After They Said "I Do"...
Their friends and family greeted them with a bubble send off as they were whisked away in a limo bus by Eclipse Transportation to celebrate with their wedding party!
The cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing was all held at the Bunker Hills Event Center in Coon Rapids, MN. You might know Bunker Hills for their golf course and water park, but they have a beautiful banquet center as well with in house catering. Guests enjoyed a cocktail on the lawn and patio before dinner since it was such a beautiful day!
The bride wanted the reception to feel soft, romantic, classy, and have a touch of rustic elegance to it to show off their adventurous and nature loving personalities. We created that look with a soft neutral color scheme: blush, ivory, taupe, champagne gold and muted greens in floral by Sadie's Couture Floral and Event Styling. The rustic elements came in with the dark wood table number stations (made by the groom!), the farm table used as the head table from Rudy's Event Rentals, and the use of greenery as an organic décor element. The venue itself also has many wooden décor tables and pine paneling for a lodge like feel while still looking like a classy ballroom.
Congrats to J+J! As I planner I feel so privileged to be able to witness those special moments of the day such as when father and daughter prepare to walk down the aisle, the groom's first reaction to his bride, hearing the vows a couple makes, hearing the inside jokes in the best man's speech, etc. It was such an honor to celebrate with these two and I wish them all the best as they begin this new J+J adventure!
XOXO - Tamara
